Here’s some grist for the watercooler for ya! Now that we know James Spader is being wooed to join The Office as a replacement for Kathy Bates’ CEO, Jo, and not for Steve Carell’s office manager, Michael, it seems increasingly likely (even inevitable?) that the sitcom’s producers will promote from within to fill the vacant post at the Scranton branch. And, as teased in this week’s Ask Ausiello, the current frontrunners for the job are Jim, Andy and Dwight.

I think Andy would be the worst choice for the office but I was really rooting for him. I felt sorry for him in the finale and can see that he clearly wants it. Jim, for some reason isn't all that interested in it. Dwight is out of his mind. So heck, maybe Andy wouldn't be that bad. It would get him off sales (since he's one of if not the worst).

I rarely if ever watch The Office but I'd watch if James Spader joined the cast.

There's no way Dwight would get it. His character is all about " kissing-up", to the boss. Jim isn't querky enough. I can't see Andy either, but he'd be the most likely of the three.
