George Carlin had a whole routine that he did on this subject. One of the oxymorons he cited was "Jumbo Shrimp", which a couple of people have mentioned here:

"I looked at the menu, and saw that they had Jumbo Shrimp. What are they?....are they large shrimp....or small jumbos"?

Another example Carlin used: Hot Water Heater,

"My friend told me he needed to buy a new hot water heater. I told him that hot water doesn't need to be heated....what you want is a cold water heater....or a hot water cooler".
