When will Melissa & Joey's main characters get together? Joey Lawrence says viewers will have to wait awhile.

"We have a long journey until we get to the point where maybe we realize we should be together," Lawrence tells TVGuide.com. Melissa Joan Hart adds: "More than anything this season, we are really good friends looking out for each other."

Although viewers shouldn't expect a pairing just yet, Lawrence says they can look forward to hearing some of his music on the show. (Remember this hit?) His newest single "Rolled" will debut the day of the show's Season 2 premiere Wednesday at 8/7c on ABC Family.
