I think they just had the son, Jonathan. One time they had Aunt Clara baby sitting him, (along with Tabitha), and she inadvertantly turned him into twins.
It must have been Jonathan whom Louise was pregnant with in an early episode, and I guess they must have later given him up for adoption, because in later seasons, there is no sign of the Tates having any children! :confused:

Yes, Jonathan Tate was Larry and Louise's only child. Jonathan was also the name of David White's (Larry) real-life son, who was one of the many victims of the Pan Am 103 tragedy in 1988.

Jonathon Tate made an appearance in a season seven episode 'Mixed Doubles', the one where Sam's dreams cause her to be confused with Louise. It was a scene where Larry & Sam are sitting down to breakfast (they used Tony Nelson's kitchen for the Tate's kitchen).

Jonathan should be a year older than Tabitha, Louise was pregnant first.

Presumably a set of twins played Jonathon in the one episode and a single boy in the other but only the single boy was credited. The twins' identities would be a super trivia question--as would be whether it is Darren/Darrin, Tabatha/Tabitha, Jonathon/Jonathan (or Timothy)? :crazy:
