The actress who played Georgette, Ms. Georgia Engel has never been married, nor has never had children.

I have wondered why that is. I always thought Ms. Engel was a very attractive woman, especially when she was younger. Her character Georgette acted older and more mature than her age, especially next to Ted Knight, who was old enough to be her father.

I think people who have never been married, or at very least are in a long term relationship to be peculiar, especially people who are not homosexual. So she may be "in the closet" or that she likes to be alone and are not interested in relationships.

It's just weird seeing her in "Everybody Loves Raymond" as a mother and a wife and she plays that role so well.

So, why didn't this hot blonde woman with the Cindy Brady voice alone?

It is very possible that Ms. Engel is gay? I am not saying she is for sure, but a distinct possibility.

Some people just don't find the right one until later in life or they never do, but that doesn't mean they are gay. Ann B Davis who played the maid on Brady Bunch wasn't gay and never married. Diane Keaton is 70 and never married. Betty Lynn who played Thelma Lu on Andy Griffith is 90 and never married./

So I suppose Betty White who played Sue Ann Niven on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls (Rose was a mother and they had some episodes where some of her kids came to visit her) and was married a couple of times but never had any children is weird too? Wow, that's judgmental.

Her father was an admiral in the US Coast Guard. I used to work with someone who had been a Senior Chief (E-8) in the USCG who met her and he said she was very beautiful and talked exactly like her character.

I read an interview of her maybe ten or twenty years ago and the interviewer asked why she never married. She said that, simply, no one had ever asked her. I thought she was charming and a talented actress. And I've never read of anyone who worked with her who didn't like her very much and talk of her as a very kind person.

There's a lot of stuff about Georgia Engel and her personal life that are very mysterious to say the least. I don't know if she was gay, but she did seem quite asexual. Was she ever linked to dating anyone (man or woman)?

Plus, we don't even know how she died. She was a devoted Christian Scientist who refused medical help. One naturally, has to wonder if she could have been saved with minor medical procedures.
