Don't expect Karen Wolek to make a return trip to Llanview, PA. before One Life to Live ends next January. According to sources, Judith Light recently declined an offer from the sudser to reprise the career-making role as the housewife hooker she played from 1977-1983.

I'm hearing this isn't the first time Light has turned OLTL down, despite always speaking fondly of her time on the serial in the press. Reportedly the brass wanted Light to appear as Karen for the soap's 40th anniversary back in 2008, but the Who's The Boss? and Ugly Betty star allegedly passed that time as well.

Here's hoping, with seven months left before the finale, TPTB will somehow be able to convince Light to change her mind.

Regardless, they need to bring back Michael Storm as Dr. Larry Wolek. He was there a very very long time, longer than anyone except Erika and that was only because they finally just stopped bringing him back; he was there before she was. He deserves to be there at the end, even if it's just because he's needed to do some serious doctoring that only he can. Whatever the reason he should be there at the end with the other returns that have been rumored for the grand finale, including Cord, Tina, Max, Cassie, Kevin, and Nathan Filion as Joey.

I totally agree about Michael Storm, and he would probably do it too.

I really don't want to think negatively of Judith Light, but why on Earth would she not want to come back for a couple episodes now that the show is coming to an end. After all, she had the spotlight in the most famous scene in the show's 43-year history; and pulled off what is still considered by many to be the finest acting job in any one scene in the long history of daytime soaps. Hopefully she'll reconsider before November when they tape the final episodes.
