Question for y'all...
Last year my dad and siblings went to NJ to visit my uncle and his family. Apperently my dad left some shirts at my uncle's house.
So Friday, my uncle gave my dad the two shirts he left and my dad asked, 'And you didn't send it'? He didn't seem mad about it but I just thought it was interesting.
So if someone visiting you has left something, would you send it back or wait til' they visit again?
In my uncle's case, he figured that my dad would come back so that's why he held it.
I have to admit, I wouldn't have send it back either, if I knew they would be coming back and I don't know how much the postage would have been though.

In a case like this. One of the parties involved should call. Say Jim when you left did you leave a few shirts?. Or Uncle Joe when I stayed there did you find 2 shirts. If so make arrangements to pick up or send the shirts.

The thing is, it takes 4 hours to drive to my uncle's. I should have mentioned that.

Whatever the distance is coffeecup.merry is right. There should have been communication between the two parties and they could have decided together what to do about the shirts. Anyway it doesn't sound like your Dad really missed his shirts or that he was very upset at having to wait to get them back so i guess everything worked out okay.

If I left something behind I would give the person money to mail it back to me.
If I had company and they left something behind, I would mail it to them.
Just my thoughts and opinions.

Yeah, I don't think my dad knew he was missing them though.

True, the person who forget is the one who should pay. It's gotten pricey to mail things. With that said, I know myself, and I'd end up mailing them back. I'm very free with money. Too free to be honest. I've been burned in the past by people who've taken advantage of my kindness.
Your avatar is adorable, Jenny. :)

I agree. I know if I were to leave something behind I would definitely pay for the postage to have it mailed back to me. It's a shame that people have taken your kindness for granted and that you have been burned. I don't know how some people can do things like that and not have it on their conscience.
Thanks. I thought the cat was cute. It looks like the cat is hiding, lol.
