View Full Version : Russell Westbrook deserved to be MVP more than Rose

Russell Westbrook's stats were every bit as good as Rose's, and I actually would have picked Westbrook over Rose for MVP. Here are Rose's stats. Pt's 25, 0.6 blks, 1.0 stl's, 7.7 assts, 4.1 rebs, 1.6 3pt's, .85.8 ft's, .44.2 fg's, 37.4 mins. Here are Westbrook's stats. 22.0 ppg's, 0.4 blks, 1.9 stl's, 8.2 assts, 4.6 reb's, 0.4 3pt's, .84.2 ft's, .44.2 fg's, 34.7 mins. Rose beats Westbrook in ppg's, and 3 point pct. Westbrook beats Rose in stl's, assts, and rebounds. I actually believe Westbrook has the advantage, and he did it in three minutes per game less than Rose. If he played 37 minutes like Rose did, he would probably average 24, or 25 ppg's, and he would further his lead in the other categories. Bottom line is, statistically, Westbrook played better than Rose.

I disagree, Dwight deserves the MVP but it is over now but next year, Dwight will get it!!!! :D Go Magic!

Actually you don't disagree with me at all. I too thought Dwight was the sure favorite to win mvp. Here's my post where I mentioned that.
