These types of places are a little expensive so I don't often go to these restaurants - but I love them.

The chef cooks the food in front of the guests on an iron griddle (teppanyaki) and the cooking consists of various tricks such as knife juggling, flipping pieces of food into the chef's pocket or a bowl inside his hat, onion volcanoes...

If you haven't been to them you should go to this type of place at least once to experience it.

I love hibachi as well.

It is expensive but you do usually get a lot for your money.

My coworkers and I go to a local place whenever we have the time. It's our favorite! One time our chef skipped the onion volcano, and my coworker called him out on it! Good times.

I don't like that kind of food, Chinese or Japanese food. I've had Chinese food and didn't like it at all. I'm not certain about Japanese, but have no interest in it.
I don't like being that close to fire. The flames are scary, imo. I know some people enjoy watching the chefs cook right at their table with fire.

I went to one in Lakewood last year and I hope to go again to a Japanese Restaurant.

I like their Miso Soup and Sake.

You know that they're two completely different cuisines, right?

Just because you don't like Chinese food doesn't mean you wouldn't like any other type of Asian food.

For me, Japanese is my favorite of the Asian cuisines.

I like their Miso Soup and Sake.

I love Miso Soup too but my sake has to be chilled. I don't like it warm.

I love Japanese, though I might be partially biased since my wife is half-Japanese and she learned to cook from her mom, her mom's cooking is less Americanized than what you get in the restaurants.

I also love Chinese, Thai, and Filipino.

I've had the authentic Chinese cuisine and it's very different from what most Westerners are used to.

I've had Thai, most of the food is spicy.

Never had Filipino.
