Movie Reviews: The Green Lantern
In the immortal words of Kermit the Frog, “It’s not easy being green.”
Those words are being quoted by several critics today (Friday) in their reviews of The Green Lantern. Color the reviews dreadful.
Manohla Dargis in the New York Times doesn’t mince words.
“Green Lantern is bad. It’s shocking how little $150 million buys you in Hollywood these days.”
Chicago Tribune‘s Michael Phillips’s says that it is:
“Disappointingly routine, as well as jarring in its violence.”
Carrie Rickey in the Philadelphia Inquirer calls it “Cheesy.”
In fact, she writes, it’s “as enjoyable as an explosion in the mold lab.”
Claudia Puig’s verdict in USA Today says that it's, “Muddled, overwrought and noisy.”
