i was watching "Moving In" a few days ago and i found this out! Mrs.Garrett was hired just the day before it took place. and she ALSO threatened to quit because Mr. D was getting two boys!i thought she was there longer than that!

I think she was only kidding when she said she would quit, when she heard the boys were orphans she said she would stay.

she wasn't kidding! she was all like "u only said there would be ONE girl and that was it. you said nothing about TWO boys" and after Mr.D made her feel guilty, she stayed!

Their Mother use to be Mr. Drummond's housekeeper.... so she would be new

Isn't it stupid that Willis and Arnold were always saying how poor their mum was, she was being payed by Drummond!

Jethro you never knew how much Phillip paid Mrs. Jackson. There could have been many different reasons as to why they were poor. Howver you do present a valid point.

I often thought the same thing. It would seem that with Mr. Drummond having Willis and Arnold's mother as his housekeeper they wouldn't be poor. I mean Mr. Drummond didn't seem like the type of guy who would sit back and let them live in poverty. But then again, that was TV and sometimes things don't make sense.
