I am curious as to what kind of life these two kids had prior to their tri-state rampage.

Does anyone know if there's a book about this case?

Agreed, there was and is no excuse for what they did. I was just curious really as to what their motivations were. Obviously they had some severe psychological issues that should have been caught.
Anyways, they will probably never be free again, which is just how they deserve it!

Death is too good for these two monsters. it's disgusting and heartless what they did. watching the segment made me so sad and angry! still gets to me when I think about it. :(

I've always wondered the same thing. This story is so sensational, I am shocked that books haven't been written on it and or films made about it.

I remember researching it and finding out that the police originally thought it was another pair of boys which they brought in for questioning.

I do wish there was more thorough information on the case.

These guys are animals. This was one of the more senseless killings profiled on UM. It almost seems like there was no motive, they just wanted to kill.

Agree with you 100%. This is also on my list of saddest cases ever profiled on UM. Something about the man from the trailer who went out of his way in the middle of the night to help two boys just to be gunned down always gets to me. These wastes of oxygen literally were just killing to kill.

I'm pretty sure the authorities looked at the heavy music angle as a motive. You know, blame it on that

This case reminds me of the movie, The Boys Next Door. It was a 1985 movie with a very young Charlie Sheen and Maxwell Caulfield, who went on a weekend trip after high school graduation and ended up killing innocent people for no reason. One cruel scene even has them tying a small dog to the back of their car and dragging the poor thing for which a woman tries to stop them and ends up getting severely beaten herself by the 2 jerks. They eventually get what they deserve but only after they leave a trail of innocent blood in their path.
