Because at the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today. They have the same personal problems they had today. And I am going to continue to live the way that I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do, with me and my family and I can be happy with that. They can get a few days, or a few months, whatever the case may be, being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat, not accomplishing their goal, but they got to get back to the real world at some point.


How I would have answered:

"No, not really. That's part of the game. That's part of being a fan. Being a fan not only means rooting for your own team, but also rooting against whomever you think the bad guys are. And at this point in time, that's us. But no, I don't mind the fans having fun with this, that's what it's all about for them. For me, it's about coming back shtronger* next year and finishing the job. We had a good season, but we didn't accomplish what we set out to do. So, come October, everyone starts all over again. And just like this year, our goal will be to win it all."

Reporter: Thanks, Lebron

(* - notice the "sh" sound in the word "stronger". That's the way we say it in the hood).

Actually though, although that was not a classy thing to say, both Lebron and Wade gave some good answers to some questions during this particular press conference.

Right after that exchange, one reporter asked both players "Did you choke?". Wade responded that the word "choke" is very much overused in sports (he's dead right about that). I have not seen the whole video yet, but for the most part, Lebron and Wade went out of their way to give credit to Dallas for their defensive effort. Lebron admitted that Dallas was able to take him completely out of what he wanted to do (and normally does).
