Is it true that you turned down the part of Danny Tanner in "Full House"?

You know what, I might have been offered that, it was such a long time ago.

I was friends with the guy who created it, we may have talked about it.

I thought that the part was always written with Bob Saget in mind. He had been on Miller-Boyett's radar since Bosom Buddies, where he got his start as a warm-up guy for the studio audience. And later he did this Richard Pryor movie for Paramount called Critical Condition. I don't think that Thomas Miller and Robert Boyett or Jeff Franklin had anything to do directly with that movie, but they had produced their shows for Paramount and ABC up until 1984, when Happy Days ended.

Of course, initially, Bob Saget wasn't available because he was tied-up with CBS' Morning Program, which is why John Posey played Danny Tanner in the first pilot.

One way or another, it all worked out for him because the My Two Dads show started the same year as Full House.

God bless you and him always!!!
