I was watching maude tonight and Maude was sending money to a orphan for 20 years only to find out he wasn't ethopian he was italian-lol
So on the Jeffersons, George and Weezy was sending money to a guy they thought was 12 only to find out he was a grown man and use the money to go to college-lol
So the episodes wasn't identical but I can see where the jeffersons writers got the idea and put a little spin on the story

Hey, if it was stolen it was literally "all in the family". LOL. From one Norman Lear show to another. LOL.

This may surprise you but I like the 1980-1985 eps a lot better. i think the episode titles during that time period were more interesting

It does surprise me but its cool because I like that era as well. I too like it better than the first six years of the show. It wasn't as intense and George calmed down with the "honkey" stuff.

Plus it was none of these characters during the 80's
Marcus
Alan Willis
Damon Evans as Lionel Jeffersons

I would not have minded Alan being there. Maybe Marcus although he was not needed but I'm glad we had the original Lionel back for the time he was there. No disrespect to Damon, though.

But the one from season one was more hip by the way he got in George World-lol
"I say your teeth are yellow and your breath is bad, get outta my face before you wish you had"
"If it was't for the fact that you were 5 foot 2, like white on rice I'll be all over you"
"If you want respect you gotta earn it, so cover your nose before I burn it"
LMAO_LOL!!!!!!!!!
