Musical version of Big Fish bound for Broadway

The film-to-stage musical is alive and well. Producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen have announced a Broadway-bound musical adaptation of Big Fish.
The production, with music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa and book by John August, will take its cues from both the 1998 Daniel Wallace source novel and August’s own script for the 2003 Tim Burton film.
Five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman will direct and choreograph.
A cast has yet to be announced for the project, which aims to grace the Great White Way in Spring 2012.
