They probably would've been more than star crossed if it weren't for that dang writers strike back in the early 80's! :grr:

I always wished they would have ended up together. They were smart, caring and just good, decent people who obviously valued each other as friends and, dare I say it, pretty obviously loved each other.

Maybe in some alternate universe where someone really writes a Taxi Finale, they will be together.

Do you think that if Taxi had lasted for another season or two that Alex and Elaine would have become a couple?

It's obvious that Alex and Elaine really did love and respect each other. They had a great friendship which easily could have become more. I too wish they'd had a real final episode where Alex and Elaine would've ridden off into the sunset together. We can dream, right? :love:
