Any news on the release date for season 2? I checked Shanachie's website but no info there.

Season one was fantastic, even though the viewing order was screwed up. Can't wait for S2 to come out!:D

I believe when the first season was announced, they said the second season was planned for the beginning of 2012.

Fantastic news! Ronmad. I was beginning to wonder if we'd see season 2 at all.

You'd think we'd have heard something official on tvshowsondvd.com... i wonder if there's a delay? I bought season 1 early, pre-ordered it when it was listed for $13, and it quickly went up to $55 (here in Canada). After seeing season one i'm a huge fan and can't wait for season 2!

I emailed David and Gord at tvshowsondvd.com and David replied that they were already aware of the Feb, 2012 release date and already had that info posted on their website.

Car 54, Where Are You? - 'The Complete 2nd Season' DVD: Date, Cost, Package, Extras!

4-disc set with the remaining episodes, in broadcast order, this April
Posted by David Lambert

Complete 2nd season of 30 episodes, never on DVD before. Many critics and comedians believe that CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU? is one of the best comedy series ever to appear on television. Leonard Maltin calls it one of the funniest TV shows of all time. Long out of circulation, this brilliant show can now be discovered by new generations who will have a chance to view it for the first time. The second season's episodes feature guest appearances by TV and Broadway personalities of the day including Sugar Ray Robinson, Molly Picon, Larry Storch, Mitch Miller, Shari Lewis and many more!

Waaaay back this past April we mentioned in a report about the then-imminent first season set that Car 54 Where Are You? - The Complete 2nd Season was tentatively being planned for release on DVD during "the first few months of 2012". Now Shanachie Entertainment and distributor eOne Entertainment are keeping that promise with a specific street date of April 10th! The 4-disc set running approx. 780 minutes will contain the final 30 episodes of the show that starred Fred Gwynne, Joe E. Ross, Al Lewis and Charlotte Rae.

Newly remastered from the original 35mm fine grain film prints, this 4-DVD package is being released in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the show's original broadcast. All 30 episodes will be in broadcast order this time (unlike the first season set, where the episodes were ordered by the popularity of each installment). As a bonus extra, you'll also get an hilarious ten minute standup comedy routine by series star Joe E. Ross! Video is in the original full-screen black-and-white, with the original English mono audio presentation as well. Cost is $39.98 SRP, but you can pre-order this title from Amazon at a discount using the button link provided. Underneath that is a 3D look at the packaging. Our thanks to all of our readers who emailed us about the title...we can tell how highly wanted this is!

Nice!

I'm eager to check out the Joe E. Ross' standup extra. I wonder if they also tried to get Gerard Hiken on tape about his experiences working for his cousin as Katz the butcher?

Al Lewis was the king of this show.
