This was a game show that the late Gene Rayburn did between his 2 successes;NBC's original version of "The Match Game"(1962-1969) and the CBS 1970's version of "Match Game" (1973-1979).called "The Amateur's Guide to Love",which needless to say, didn't last long(1972 only)

Or the also short-lived NBC game show from 1977 "It's Anybody's Guess"hosted by Monty Hall, and anounced by his "Let's Make A Deal"announcer-sidekick the late Jay Stewart?

The Amateur's Guide to Love was a short-lived Heatter-Quigley show that featured a panel of celebrities ("The Guidebook Panel") that predicted how a couple would react in a filmed, romantic situation. It was also CBS's first attempt at a daytime game show since 1968 and it was replaced after about 13 weeks by Family Affair reruns. A little over two months after its cancellation, the network would finally acheive success with three hit game shows, The Joker's Wild, Gambit and a show that's still on the air to this day, The Price is Right.

I remember seeing a promo for it, but our affiliate in Pittsburgh, KDKA-TV, pre-empted it for Mike Douglas.

Peter Marshall's LAST game show he hosted, the 1985 only ABC flop called
"All-Star Blitz"`?It was not,in my opinion.,that good, but do you think if they revived it today,it would be a hit?

Actually All-Star Blitz was Peter Marshall's last network game show he hosted. He hosted two other shows after that called "Yahtzee" and "Reel to Reel Picture Show," the latter of which Marshall really dispised the hell out of, especially when he mentioned in his book about how the producers didn't pay him one red penny.

I thought All-Star Blitz wasn't a bad show. Peter was great in it.
