I had thought that "The Death of Edith" was episode 1 of ABP, but it isn't. Does anyone know how long into the season they went before she died?

She didn't die until the first episode of the second season. Jean Stapleton appeared in a few ABP episodes during season 1.

I've never seen this, but I did see the "aftermath". Excellent acting by Carol O'Connor. I think I'll rent Archie Bunker's Place and catch up.

I can never watch this without crying.
