I say that because look at the episodes where Rory broke up with Dean and went to the party and kissed Tristan. Right before that you see her sitting down reading a book. At a party??
What about when Rory and Paris were at Yale and Paris threw a party. What did Rory do?? She took a book into her room and read. During a party???
What about the 3 month anniversary dinner with Dean. She brought The New Yorker. On her date with Dean. Plus the fact, the episode when Christopher showed up for the first time on the show, she mentions that she gets all of her work done on Saturday and then works on extra credit.

I mean I understand she wanted to get into Harvard and then Yale and I dont mind people reading and being smart. I really dont. But dont you think reading and bringing books to parties and dates is a bit much??

Just because someone is intelligent, well read, and studious that doesn't make them a nerd. Rory has plenty of friends, dresses well, and has had a boyfriend. All signs that she's not a nerd. And besides I'm a nerd and she's never at any of the meetings!!!

Like I said in the post, Im not saying you cant read or be intelligent and smart. You can be all those things and more. What I am saying is that if theres a party or your on a romantic date, you bring a book?? Why bother even going on a date and/or a party? You might as well stay home and read, not there is anything wrong with that.
