View Full Version : Alice should have a syndication petition-LOL Antenna TV are you listening TVFactFan 05-25-2011, 06:04 PM Come on, pick up this damm show and breath some life into this show so we can view it again. Lifetime and Hallmark are you listening? You know Sol, an online petition is easy to do. (Hint Hint) ;) TVFactFan 05-25-2011, 09:37 PM You know Sol, an online petition is easy to do. (Hint Hint) ;) I'm going to go on Antenna TV facebook page and ask if they have plans of picking up Alice TeeVeeCloset 05-26-2011, 08:27 AM I appreciate you liking the show, as I do...but don't bother with Antenna TV, Alice is a Warner Bros. property and they only have one program license deal with Sony. As for any petitions, Alice is too old for the networks you mentioned, Alice had a national shot only a few years back when ION launched, they played every episode, very edited to 22 minute versions, but it was played. For now "Alice" will remain waiting in the diner frozen in time like a TV dinner waiting for a TV return but right now, it will not happen. Waner doesn't even have interest in a season 1 DVD release, even though it is available to purchase as a amazon download. Robert 13 05-26-2011, 10:45 AM I agree. This show seriously needs to be dug from the vaults and given a new lease on life in reruns or in dvds. I haven't seen it in years and would pick-up Season 1 in a heartbeat if it was available. The itunes thing just isn't a good option for me. I want to watch it on my tv set in dvd quality. I miss the show and I would love to have it on DVD since it's not on TV anymore. :( fordamian 06-05-2011, 03:41 AM Alice is on the air from on year in Hallmark italy channel we are very lucky :) Sammy Reed 06-05-2011, 06:33 PM I would like to see TV stations to be able to rerun shows themselves - and for gosh sake, without having to take the way some "network" reruns it. The way it was, before Big Cable "set the standard"puke: for how shows are "supposed" to be rerun - cutups, speedups, and PC censorship. If it was that way again, I wouldn't mind - would absolutely love - to see these shows such as "Alice" rerun again. I think the problem is that there are too many syndicated shows (talk shows, "judge" shows, tabloid "news" shows, etc.) hogging up the time TV stations used to take to rerun shows. If this glut wasn't there, these shows may have a chance again. Who knows? Bonniegirl 07-24-2014, 03:51 PM I remember rushing home to see it on ION every night in April of 2007 I know I am responding to an old post, but I watched Alice on ION at that time too. ION going to a commercial while someone was still talking:lol:  Mr. Television 07-26-2014, 03:24 PM I'm going to go on Antenna TV facebook page and ask if they have plans of picking up Alice Did you ever get a response? It's baffling why Alice is never on TV. TVFactFan 07-26-2014, 03:27 PM Did you ever get a response? It's baffling why Alice is never on TV. I would do a dance if they did. TVFactFan 07-26-2014, 04:03 PM lol It just seems so strange that all these 70's classics air but Alice, ODAAT and Chico and the Man never air. You got that right about the commercials!! ;) Too many commercials too! I remember they ran one all the time, I can't remember what was being advertised, but it was a Native American man, an Indian chief. That commercial came on like every 5 minutes when Alice was on! Remember? At first I liked it, I thought Oh cool, an Indian chief, because I always liked Native American culture. But after awhile it was like OMG they play this TOO darn much!!!! :( TVFactFan 07-26-2014, 09:42 PM OMG yes!! It really should be aired on the Hallmark channel or maybe LOGO. Those two channels show The Golden Girls way too much. I love GG but it doesn't need to be aired as much as it is. They could easily spare an hour for two episodes of Alice at least once or twice a week. That would be a dream come true. Hallmark does show the Golden Girls a lot! Another one is the Waltons! Four episodes a day!!! I like the Waltons, but come on, do we really need four hours of them? Surely Alice could be on for one of those hours! :) TVFactFan 07-27-2014, 02:46 PM Hallmark does show the Golden Girls a lot! Bob Newhart didn't do too well on Hallmark and was cancelled after 2 months TMC 02-01-2015, 05:17 AM http://fadedsignals.com/post/106957965150/alice-is-a-sitcom-that-aired-from-1976-to-1985 http://36.media.tumblr.com/213e802f4d4cbb37182e9d15560f7cf5/tumblr_ngmns5fpGc1rl8jt8o1_500.png "Alice" is a sitcom that aired from 1976 to 1985 on CBS. Her car breaks down in Phoenix and she takes a job at a diner. Reruns of the prime time series aired on CBS daytime from 1980 to 1982. In the fall of 1982, it was syndicated nationwide (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_%28TV_series%29#Syndication). - See more at: http://fadedsignals.com/post/106957965150/alice-is-a-sitcom-that-aired-from-1976-to-1985#sthash.C3CgtRR1.dpuf '80sSitcoms 02-02-2015, 09:15 AM Cute ad! :) |
