Released on DVD in Germany WITH English audio, similar to the Mr. Terrific set that came out. While the show has been around on black and white film for a long time, the color versions are very rare. Not really one of my favorites as I much preferred Debbie Watson in Karen the year before, its still nice to be able to get a quality release of a rare show of that vintage.

Yes technically not a very good show, but I love when obscurities are released, what a good find ben...went to amazon germany, but the translation wouldn't work, plus at the moment I don't have a multi-region player....but I know you will enjoy this.....so we can get a one season american flop series on dvd in germany, but "The Farmer's Daughter" can't be cleaned up and aired on Antenna TV...maybe we should ask them to air "Tammy"...I keep suggesting a saturday night rarities theme night, but so far Antenna TV seems to be afraid to really think "Outside the TV box" and try different things.

PS...I went to the Amazon German website and they have an option to look at a 4 minute sample clip, the audio is in German, so why do you think the DVD's have English audio? Really curious to know...meaning is their an audio select option???

I agree that I love to see these types of shows pop up, regardless if they were favorites of mine or not. When I first got into collecting over 30 years ago, I was able to buy 16mm prints of several rare sitcoms - Governor and JJ, Good Guys, Temperatures Rising and the Paul Lynde Show. I'm glad I did because other than TR on USA, none of them have aired anywhere since.

Debbie Watson was a nice-looking girl. I wish she had been in more TV shows. I liked seeing her in the movie, "The Cool Ones" that was made around that time. Debbie is cast as a singer/entertainer and is seen in short dresses, go-go boots, etc.

Yes, I just recorded that from TCM a couple of months ago. Terrible film but she's adorable. She pretty much had her career from her mid-teens until she hit about 21 and then quit. Too bad but that was the way of the world then, work until you get married and then sit home and raise kids.

...for TV stardom twice, in the mid-'60s. First, as "KAREN", created and produced by Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher {"LEAVE IT TO BEAVER", "THE MUNSTERS"} for MCA/Universal. It lasted one season- first, as part of "90 BRISTOL COURT" at the beginning of the 1964-'65 season, then as its own series in January 1965 [more people know the Beach Boys' rendition of its theme than the series itself!]. Before it was cancelled, Connelly and Mosher decided to cast Debbie as "Marilyn Munster" in their theatrical feature "Munster, Go Home!" (1966). After "KAREN" ended, MCA decided to give Debbie another chance that fall- this time, as a weekly version of "TAMMY", on ABC. That lasted a full season. And, because MCA never allowed most of their "one season wonders" to go to waste (the three "Tammy" movies were also a factor), they stitched four episodes together, with some new "transition" footage, and theatrically released it overseas as "Tammy and the Millionaire" (1967). By that time, Debbie had starred in Warner Bros. "The Cool Ones"....which flopped, and that was virtually the end of her acting career.
