As far as Freddie appearing in a Bob Newhart Variety Show, I looked up Bob Newhart in the Internet Movie Database, (a very reliable source), and it has Bob listed for many shows/ series, but the only VARIETY show listed is from the early 60s. That would leave Freddie out. He was just a kid then. It doesn`t list a Bob Newhart Variety Show from the 70s.

Yeah, he'd have made a great patient of Bob's or a friend of Jerry the dentist, or a date of Carol the secretary. Yeah, I got it. He is a date of Carols who also happens to be a friend of Jerrys. Jerry set them up. What she doesn't know is he is a patient of Bob's & with ALOT of problems. :)
