Hey guys,

The 4 Man New Wave Rock Band from L.A. called Mr. Mister consisted of Lead Singer Richard Page, Steve George, Pat Mastelotto and Steve Farris had 2 Back to Back #1 Hits on the Pop Chart from their only #1 Pop Album entitled Welcome to the Real World

The 1st #1 Pop Hit in 1985 was called Broken Wings and in 1986, the band did it again with their 2nd #1 Pop Hit called Kyrie

and their 3rd Top 10 Hit was entitled Is It Love

Their last Top 40 Pop Hit was entitled Something Real which was featured on the Soundtrack to the Film Youngblood Starring Rob Lowe, Cynthia Gibb, Keanu Reeves, Ed Lauter and the late Patrick Swayze

Sadly, as the year 1990 came along, Mr. Mister disbanded, but the band reunited 20 years later in 2010 with 3 of the remaining members:

Richard Page, Steve George and Pat Mastelotto

and so, here they are:

I love Broken Wings but Kyrie makes my top 20 list of most hated songs of the 80's.

These songs are flipped for me, I cannot stand Broken Wings but I love Kyrie.

I remember reading that Richard Page had been invited to join Chicago after Peter Cetera left on not so amicable terms. Mr. Page turned down the offer because he did not want to replace a member of an established band - he wanted to finish what he started with his own band, Mr. Mister. Chicago then hired Jason Scheff, who has been with the band ever since.

^Ditto that!

And I didn't know that about Chicago. IMHO he would have sounded (and looked) more like Cetera than the guy who ended up replacing him. I have never liked him...

Also, I have always wondered when I hear Hey Soul Sister, does the target audience even know who Mr. Mister was LOL?

Not only that, he was also asked to replace Bobby Kimball in Toto. Here's a recent interview with Richard Page that confirms that. Also here are photos of Richard Page and past and present Chicago members Peter Cetera and Jason Scheff. Personally, I think he looks more like Sting than either Cetera or Scheff, but I digress.

They also reference Winger in their song "If It's Love". Doubt the majority of the audience even knows who either band is.
