Eliza Dushku Headlining "Torchwood" Web Series?

Talk about a nerdgasm: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "'Dollhouse" veteran Eliza Dushku is rumored to be starring in a web companion series to the new season of "Torchwood".



According to BleedingCool, "Torchwood" writer and "Buffy" veteran Jane Espenson revealed the online spinoff and teased Dushku's involvement on Twitter.

"It's tru; there's an echo of my past work in #Torchwood: Web of Lies. (I know you already solved my little puzzle, but this is fun.),"



"Torchwood: Web of Lies" will run as a companion to Starz's "Torchwood: Miracle Day".

Eliza Dushku will star in an online animated "Torchwood" series. We reported on the news earlier this summer, and now Starz and BBC have made it official with an announcement.

The series will consist of 10 3-minute installments.

New episodes of the animated series will go online following new episodes of "Miracle Day". [EW]
