The whole family considered Marilyn homely. I think that is so funny considering she was the only pretty one in the bunch. Of course if you removed Yvonnes makeup, she would have blown anyone away with her raving beauty

...the Munsters always considered themselves a "typical American family", yet in their eyes, they believed Marilyn was "ugly" (or "homely"). And even she believed it, somewhat: in the very first scene of the pilot episode, one look at Herman scares away her latest date, as she sobs, "Oh, Uncle Herman, what's the matter with me, anyway?".
In her own "ghoulish" way, Lily was quite beautiful [and I'm sure Yvonne made certain she appeared that way!].

The Munsters were the equivalent to what the Brady Bunch was in the 90's: Very naive and out of touch. LOL.
