I liked it. I thought it was quite good, outstanding. It ended on a high note;
Clark saved the world; and the show delivered all it had promised. Glad we got to see John Schneider, Annette O'Toole, and Michael Rosenbaum one last
time. The "bookends" featuring Alison Mack (and Chloe's future son) were a nice touch. Clark finally accepted his destiny, and we got to see him don the
costume. Who could ask for more? :)

I have waited 10 years for this, and it was so worth the wait. Wow is all I can say.

i think when the show was shifted from thursday to friday i stopped watching it but i made a point to see the final and loved it ,all the loose ends seem to be tied up and it was great that almost the whole original cast with the exception of LONA were all there.great ending too got to give it up to the cast and the writers for not letting anyone down and especially the return of lex,if micheal didn't come back to reprise the role i think it would have been a big let down but im glad he did return.fantastic episode.

The finale was great. I'm going to miss this show, but its time had come. One thing I was confused about was Jimmy Olsen, with Lois at the end. It made sense that he was there, but on the show, he died. Lois just said something about his brother would be proud of him. (He and his brother were both called Jimmy? :confused:)

That's right. In the episode in which the first Jimmy Olsen died, it was revealed that he had a younger brother who, inexplicably, was also named
"Jimmy." I think that occurred at the cemetery after the funeral. That scene at the Daily Planet, in the series finale, takes place seven years in the future, with the younger Jimmy all grown up. So, they were able to cast the same
actor who played the original Jimmy Olsen (Shawn Ashmore).

I never heard her call him Jimmy. I think she just called him Olson and said he had some ver big shoes to fill. Jimmy did have a younger brother. He was seen in the final episode of season 8 at Jimmy's funeral.

Well, excellent job being able to bring back so many from "the dead"! Lex Luthor, Jonathan Kent, Lionel Luthor, Jimmy Oleson, Chloe Sullivan(?)(didn't she die a few times??) Of course we saw Tess Mercer die in the end. I guess it would have been hard to explain the return of Lana Laing, though.

well, I finally got to see it, and I thought it was pretty good overall - I wasn't overwhelmed by it, but considering we all basically knew how it was going to end it would be hard to be surprised by it.

I kinda was hoping that Supergirl would show up for another brief second - I still think they could've made a go of a Justice League spin-off, or even a Legion of Superheroes spin-off would be nice.

Considering the rather large role Justin Hartley had as Oliver Queen, a Green
Arrow spinoff would also have been interesting.

Really enjoyed the finale. Looking forward to the complete, DVD release.

At the funeral for the character we had previously known as "Jimmy," it was revealed that his name was actually Henry James Olsen. His younger brother was named James and destined to grow up to be the "Jimmy" in regular Superman continuity.

Wow, thanks for explaining that. Now it makes sense. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention, when Jimmy I died! :lol:
