TV Knowledge Fan 05-16-2011, 02:11 AM ...Bert Parks wasn't that embarrassing here. On the other hand, if Larry Hooper had sung this on "THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW" at that time, then it would have been an embarrassment! ;) :tv: catlover79 05-16-2011, 12:37 PM ...Bert Parks wasn't that embarrassing here. Viewing it now in retrospect, it's bad but not really THAT bad. I've seen worse, but I will say that Bert Parks should have stuck to the hosting duties and left the song and dance to those who were more skilled at it. catlover79 05-22-2011, 03:25 PM ^ Yeah, I guess you're right. I wasn't around in 1976, so I'll take your word for it. I do agree that he should've stuck to singing the Miss America song and hosting!! 1960'sTVfan 05-22-2011, 03:34 PM Some of the musical numbers performed on Brady Bunch Variety Hour were pretty bad, also Pink Lady & Jeff. Both of those shows had several cringe worthy moments. catlover79 05-23-2011, 07:21 AM Absolutely!!! Bert Parks even guested on PL&J's first episode.   1960'sTVfan 05-23-2011, 10:47 AM In this Bert Parks video, I have to laugh at the three dancers in the background behind Bert and the gyrations they make. Who was the choreographer there and what was he or she thinking? catlover79 05-23-2011, 04:05 PM I was roaring watching them, too. I agree - what were they thinking???    catlover79 06-09-2011, 08:47 AM I just heard the McCartney/Wings version of "Let 'Em In", thought of this video, and just lost it. |
