In the immortal words of Phoebe Buffay: "MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!"

The only problem I had with it was Bert getting tripped up at the 1:25 mark. It runs rings around everything else that's on today. (Especially the stuff the Parents Television Council targets!)

Lisa Kudrow's flaky character on Friends.

...Bert Parks wasn't that embarrassing here. On the other hand, if Larry Hooper had sung this on "THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW" at that time, then it would have been an embarrassment!

;)

This was from back in the 1970's, so looking at it now sure it will seem on the odd side. Viewing it now in retrospect, it's bad but not really THAT bad. I've seen worse, but I will say that Bert Parks should have stuck to the hosting duties and left the song and dance to those who were more skilled at it.

^ Yeah, I guess you're right. I wasn't around in 1976, so I'll take your word for it. I do agree that he should've stuck to singing the Miss America song and hosting!!

Some of the musical numbers performed on Brady Bunch Variety Hour were pretty bad, also Pink Lady & Jeff. Both of those shows had several cringe worthy moments.

In this Bert Parks video, I have to laugh at the three dancers in the background behind Bert and the gyrations they make. Who was the choreographer there and what was he or she thinking?
