Channel 4 is to launch a British version of US cartoon 'Family Guy', which will follow the lives of a typical suburban family living in the UK.

Channel 4 is to launch a British version of 'Family Guy'.

The "edgy" cartoon - entitled 'Happy Families' - will be made by the same people behind 'The Simpsons Movie' and will follow the lives of a typical suburban family living in the UK.

'Happy Families' will also feature cameo appearances from a whole host of stars.

Channel 4 creative officer Jay Hunt said: "It will feature cameos from celebrities as you've never seen them before."
