View Full Version : what was the most touching cheers moment
sammyanddiane 01-04-2002, 03:31 PM what moment in cheers made you want to cry alot,I always found the coachs daughter touching and the last scene in the couch in love part 2 where he relizes he has lost his woman to the evils of cash and he,Sam and Diane all go out for supper singing isn,t it romantic, also when sam and diane are going down, the one when diane quits working at cheers because of sams romance with the politican ladys touching and last but not least the last episode, the have a good life line still makes me sad,but what was the saddest moment of cheers!
cheers freak 01-04-2002, 04:16 PM For me the saddest part of cheers was in ONE FOR THE ROAD when Norm leaves and Sam is by himself. When he reaizes cheers was his true love. When he say's "sorry were closed" that really made me cry. :( I guess that is when it really sunk in that that that was the end. It was such a classy end to a real classy show.
Diane Chambers-Malone 01-04-2002, 05:41 PM There is no contest! The Sam and Diane dance at the end of "I do, Adieu" is the most touching moment. The music, and the little house they bought together, and it being Shelley's last show. That was the most I think I have ever cried. I love it, I can watch it all day. Also, when Sam and Diane thought they were going to crash in the plane, and they just held each other. :crying:
Mcfly 01-04-2002, 10:29 PM Great choice, DianeC. I had overlooked that one, which was a great moment. I'd put that second behind Sam's "Have a good life" after Shelley has left. You knew in his voice that he knew he'd never see her again.
Also sweet was in the final show when Frasier is trying to say "I love you" to the gang, but can't quite get the words out.
sammyanddiane 01-07-2002, 07:14 PM The goodbye was definitly a great ending, but not near as touching for me as the last diane show, that one really makes me feel sad after seeing it,allthough i have seen it alot of times,i still cry after seeing it ,
At the very end of "One For The Road," when Sam adjusts Nick Colosanto's picture, kind of symbolically saying that he's not forgotten.
TV Guy 01-08-2002, 12:31 AM The last two scenes in "I Do, Adieu" are very touching. Also, the episode where Diane takes Sam to court, and he is forced to propose while she's on the witness stand. Later, she tells him that she won't hold him to the proposal. Sam says, "They may not be able to stop me from killing you, but they can't stop me from marrying you." They kiss. Cue the audience applause and the end credits.

That one was good!!
the others that made me really upset was when diane left the show, the final episode, and um there was one other one.. but oh well
sammyanddiane 01-09-2002, 09:48 PM I agree that the last episode was also very touching, not as much for me as diane leaving the show, but when they agjusted one of the actor nicholes colosantos pictures i thought that was a very nice thing to do,that was the saddest part, and the fact that cheers was over and sam and diane did not get back together, vut there was also a very sad aphnosphere to it,I liked that,It was great that they remembered the actors name in the end,but the only part i didn,t like was sam going into the poolroom like that,It was really stupied i thought, but that was the only lame thing about it,they tried hard I think to make it sad and memorible, but there were some other sad moments i thought like sam going to europe to stop the wedding and the one with the coachs daughter who came to see him with her fiance and there were some more, can,t think of them though
