It appears that TJ has made some upgrades to the site which has made very difficult to post on the site since i have MSNTV2. Plus i think he added a new feature to the blog section which has made things very difficult. But I don't blame TJ because he has to make site better and not wory about people like me with MSNTV. So from the looks of it I probably wont be able to access the site after 2011 because while most sites make upgrades, MSNTV stays the same. So I will try to enjoy my remaining days here but you defintely know the signs of when something is coming to an end.

BTW: it took me 30 mins to post this thread-lol

MSNTV? are you serious?

you'd getter net access with most current phones - just spend the money and get a REAL internet provider

I have comcast highspeed but it's hard to chat using my laptop. It was a lot easier to chat on here with my MSNTV2 which I did for 9 years

Why don't you just save up $400 and buy a new computer. What's going to happen when you can't access most sites?

Sites that I can't access at all using MSNTV in 2011

Facebook
Youtube

I think the blog on here is causing the most problems. Oh I miss the days of 2003 when it wasn't a such thing as a blog-lol

The reason you can't access those sites and lots of others is because they no longer offer support for Internet Explorer 6. I also have MSNTV2 but mainly use it for the music channels.

I just don't understand why the blog couldn't have been another board called TV Programming News. I don't see the point of he blog. Maybe I will start creating threads on my laptop and then chatting on MSNTV2 once they become active.

We haven't made any upgrades or major changes to the boards in at least 5-6 years. We added the Facebook fans box on the boards and blog in recent months, but that shouldn't be causing a problem for you. Try logging out of Facebook to see if it improves.

If you have Comcast highspeed already, why on earth would you still be using MSNTV? This isn't 1998 anymore. The internet was not meant to be surfed on your TV. I'm surprised you can surf any sites with that dinosaur of a system.

SO would not be SO without you Solomon. Please drop this MSNTV business and stay. :notworthy

TJ I think you made some changes to the blog this year because I noticed that it's a lot longer now when scrolling down to start a new thread. I didn't have this problem in 2010. But I do use my laptop when I'm creating a thread with a youtube video but I always enjoyed by chatting about TV shows on my MSNTV2. I had it for so long and it's hard to get rid of and it's $21.95 a month-lol

Zoneboy

Solomon, Used MSNTV2 units complete with all accessories are selling for up to $185.00 on eBay. I agree with the others that if it's giving you trouble on this site and others then the best thing to do is get rid of it so why not put it on eBay and unload it and put some money in your pocket at the same time?

$21.95? If you have high speed internet through Comcast then you only have to pay $9.95 a month for MSNTV2. That's the price MSN charges to anyone that already has high speed. If you decide to keep your MSNTV2 then you need to let MSN know how long you've had Comcast. They may ask for some type of proof but they will reduce your price each month and they may give you credit for the all the months you've already paid for but I can't guarantee it.

$21.95 a month seems like a waste of money when you already have Comcast. I think you could use the savings of dropping MSNTV and getting a decent monitor. The blog has only had minor changes. I can only optimize it for people who use real browsers and computers. The stats show only .20% of all visitors to the blog are using MSNTV.

See I knew it was a some type of change TJ-lol I was able to see the difference in the speed when I came to the site. I have the option of connecting my highspeed to my MSNTV2 but that takes away my laptop use with facebook and youtube. So it's either one or the other.

Solomon, I just think it's time to join the 21st century. I'm not trying to be mean, but frankly, I'm surprised people still use MSNTV.

I'm dirt poor. I'm on disability with a very limited income. Yet I'm able to post from my MacBook Pro and my iPhone.

Technology isn't as expensive as it was in the '90s!

I have the option of connecting my highspeed to my MSNTV2 but that takes away my laptop use with facebook and youtube. So it's either one or the other. get a router so you can connect both to your comcast - spend $40 once and save the $22 per month, heck get a wireless router and you can sit on the couch with your laptop and post away as you watch TV
