Which post-Martin sitcom (Tichnia Arnold's Everybody Hates Chris as Chris Rock's mom or Tisha Campbell's My Wife and Kids as Damon Wayans' wife) do you pretty much prefer? I know that both shows aren't exactly the same. EHC is essentially, an urban, perhaps more subverted version of The Wonder Years while MW&K can be seen as The Cosby Show of the 2000s.

Hands down, Everybody Hates Chris. I thought My Wife and Kids got corny towards the end of its run. I do like to watch the syndicated reruns of EHC from time to time (in my market, they air on the CW affiliate at 5:30 PM).

I prefer My Wife and Kids. Damon Wayans was hilarious on that show.

I preferred "Everybody Hates Chris" so it wins hands down! I thought it was funnier, and I really enjoyed the family dynamic. Overall, it was a great show, and a bit of a throwback to family sitcoms of the past. "My Wife & kids" had their moments, but it just didn't appeal to me the same way EHC did. I was a bit turned off when they had Junior becoming a father and getting married at a young age.
