Hey guys,
Yesterday, the NBA on abc/ESPN saw the Los Angeles Lakers get swept by the Dallas Mavericks after the Mavericks def. the Lakers by 36 points with a score of 122-86
This was also the last year for Phil Jackson as the Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers after 12 years
and so, I would like to know:
What were your thoughts on the Los Angeles Lakers being swept by the Dallas Mavericks?
Please share your thoughts on this

I very happy about it because this means someone other than the Lakers will win the championship this year!!

I, too was SOOOO happy to see them lose
I mean, I can't STAND Kobe Bryant and plus, I haven't been a Laker Fan for the last 7 years, especially ever since Shaq, Fox, Van Exel and others have left the team
and plus, Phil Jackson is done with the Lakers, but he's had a long career in the NBA which includes 11 Championship Victories

As long as The Heat are eliminated...I'll be fine.
The Lakers may be down for awhile, Go Mavs!
My thoughts? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :D
I second that. :D

I was cheering throughout the game, Definitely the best playoff game yet. Sad to see Phil Jackson go, but glad to see the lakers lose.

The good:
* A certain player who raped a woman in Colorado won't get another ring, at least not this year.
The bad:
* The Mavericks are one of my most hated teams because of their owner, Mark Cuban, who is a liberal.
* The team from one of my favorite cities lost.
* Now we won't get to see the Kardashians on the sidelines in the finals! (Just kidding! )

It would have been nice if Gasol had shown up. Bynum took a lot of criticism this season because he seems to get hurt so easily and misses so many games. But he played well against Dallas.
Has Artest worn out his welcome in L.A.? I predicted when they got him that the would still win the title (despite the loss of Ariza, who played very well for them the year they beat the Magic in the finals), and they did. But he might be the kind of player who carries an expiration date.
Derek Fisher might be on his way out as well.
It'll be interesting to see how the roster looks next year. I don't like to see teams over-react to one playoff series, and the fact is, they did see Dallas as their biggest threat this year.
I'll still watch the finals, but regardless of who gets there out of the East, the Finals have lost about 40% of their impact because the Lakers (and Kobe) won't be there.
Considering who's left, I may be rooting for the Bulls for the first time in my life lol

I was very surprised the Lakers got swept. I wasn't expecting that because Dallas has never been a good defensive team. Dallas getting Tyson Chandler and Brendan Haywood has helped their defense improve. The Lakers should get rid of Ron Artest. He hasn't done nothing all season and he's still ******** LOL. I read he did a hard foul on somebody on Dallas's team and he got suspended for game 3. I don't like players who play rough because there's no need for that. Pau Gasol was a disappointment in this series. He didn't play well at all. I know Kobe was probably cussing out his teammates in the locker room after the last game against Dallas hahahahahahahahahahaha. He hates to lose.
