Anyone else catch UM on Lifetime last night around 8 pm -11 pm? They showed a block of episodes in addition to the usual afternoon block. It was like watching UM in the good old days.... icing on the cake is that they showed the Wackers episode.

The episodes I saw showed Kyra Cook, Dennis DePue, Scott Johnson, Armando Garcia, and another robbery case I can't remember.

I will say that the heavy metal music is too distracting and takes away the creepiness factor from some of the cases.

I didn't watch UM last night, but I had advance knowledge that it was scheduled to be shown from 8pm to 11pm last night. In fact, I checked the Lifetime schedule and learned that UM will be shown during those hours again next Thursday. Whether it's a temporary thing, I don't know. But I would suggest that you watch UM during those Thursday evening hours while you can. :)

nope, missed it. If it was Robert Stack episodes I'd be all over that but can't get excited about Farina..

Anyone know if this might be a result of UM's popularity/ratings?

"Anyone know if this might be a result of UM's popularity/ratings?"

Maybe it's the result of the amount of "traffic" on this message board! Or maybe not, but we can't count it out, either.

If that were the case, Lifetime would probably deny it, since networks tend to distance themselves from TV show fan sites/groups.

So are you saying they are airing the Stack episodes on lifetime again?

Interesting....I didn't catch any of those episodes yet, but I think I have them DVR'ed. Which cases were updated w/someone other than Farina, and who was it that did the updates?

UM is also starting an hour later at 5 and 6. Maybe the show is drawing a lot of viewers to Lifetime?

Idk, I just hope UM does not get bumped over the Lifetime/ A&E merger. So many more A&E shows on lifetime now.

I record every epi on Lifetime and I've never seen anyone but Farina do an update. Though i will say I dont think the thurs night epis tape since I have other "higher priority" things on that night (30 Rock, The Office, etc..). But I do get the ones at 4 and 5 (central time) and all the updates (not that there are many) have been read by Farina.

Hopefully it won't, I don't think it will because it is in a block with Cold Case Files which is an A&E show, anyways I hope it will stay! And maybe get some NEW cases! (unlikely :( )

From what I've seen it's just been the Sandra Levy (sp?) segment.

YAY more cases. That would be amazing. I can tolerate Farina, he is no Stack, but who is? I like how he does not try to be Stack #2. However, when I was watching UM on Spike and I had to watch those terrible commercials and those Google maps......

hahaha, I'm a guy so I'll admit I'll watch the occasional Manswers  Other than that most of Spike is crap. Oh well UM is almost always on Lifetime now. I wonder if there is any chance of new episodes/cases.

If I can put up with male enhancement commercials and girls gone wild commercials, you can put up with Army Wives commercials. Too bad Golden Girls is gone....

The Army Wives commercials... I swear every other commercial is an Army Wives preview. The other half is the disappeared Natalie Hollaway show. Good 'ol Lifetime... UM is the ONLY show both Spike and Lifetime can both air :p

lol :happyface I wonder if anybody has talked to the producers lately to see if they had any information about the future of the show. In 2008 the new version signed a 5 year deal and as time has flew it has been 3 year/4 tv seasons.

You have a nice sense of humor :)

Yeah, notice my laundry baskets? Who would want to steal that ?! If they cracked a big case from the "new" UM, I bet it would spark more interest.

Hopefully no criminal from UM! Don't you feel more like you become more aware of your surroundings from watching UM? Yes maybe... I'll keep some hope.

Actually, yes. It helped me as a teen, I would never get into a car with people that I did not know, and I also would not go into peoples homes if I did not know them. I would literally wait outside at times on my friend (s) if they went into a home (stranger danger).
Also, about 3 weeks ago, I was taking some trash to the dumpster at about 9:30 pm and I started to to turn a corner and I smelled a cigarette, which made me stop and look around for a person (who was on his balcony smoking). I wanted to see where that smell was coming from before I got out of sight... UM has def. helped me out on being more aware.

The Stack episodes haven't been shown (at least in the US) since the relaunch of the series (w/ Farina) on SPIKE in 2008.

I have not seen a Stack episode ran in years, sorry. They do update the Lifetime Farina episodes sometimes, so maybe it will be worth it for you to watch.
