Comic actor Andy Dick was arrested at a Temecula, Calif. restaurant Monday night. Police tell TMZ the 45-year-old star was acting disorderly, allegedly under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

According to RadarOnline.com, Dick was booked at a local jail at 9:48PM, facing a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct with alcohol. Bail was set at $500.

On an episode of Marc Maron's WTF Podcast that aired just last week, Dick said he was about to embark on a long stretch without boozing: "There's been times when I haven't drank for three years in a row ... Right now, I know I'm in a very long stretch of complete abstinence and sobriety."

Dick also told Maron he has been to rehab 11 times.

"I cannot tell you that I'm not gonna drink again," Dick said on the WTF Podcast (taped at an earlier, unclear time, although it was likely early 2011). "But I'll tell you what, I don't prefer it right now."

"But how much of that s*** that you get in trouble for is in a blackout?" Maron asked.

After a brief pause, Dick responded: "Exactly. Enough said. Really."

Pressed about alcoholism, Dick said, "I don't cotton to those phrases. I don't like thinking of it as a disease ... We can say that I've had problems that directly relate to drinking alcohol."

Andy Dick seems like a nice person at the core. unfortunately, the core is always covered in alcohol and drugs. This is a guy who needs help and yet because it's Andy Dick, everyone prefers to get on their high horse and look down at him.

I admit, I don't see a happy ending for Andy, however, I'm hoping for one where he's finally free from alcohol and where he can hold his head up high.

^ Yeah, I don't think he is an evil person at heart, but someone who has a lot of demons. Then came the deal with the Hartmans and his feud with Jon Lovitz...just a sad, sad story for everyone involved. :(

I'd like to see him get clean and sober too. But this is a guy who was been to rehab 11 times. Something tells me his chances of getting clean and sober for good are pretty slim.
