I was re-watching this case today, and I have been thinking about this for a while now. With the phone call, where the person states his name is "Don" and the prime suspect (if you look around the internet) is actually named Don. However, what I am wondering, is if maybe that call-in confession was not actually the killer, but was someone who was familiar w/ the killer and the killer had confessed to a friend or someone of that sort. The reason I am wondering this, is maybe this friend really was "obsessed" with this case, because he wanted to push the police to look into it more so that his "friend/the killer" would be caught by this extra attention. The main reason I think this is due to the recording, it almost sounds not like a "real" voice, especially not that of a 20 something year old. It sounds as if someone plugged their nose and started talking...just very odd. I apologize if this has been brought up previously, which I'm sure it has, but I just wanted to get some thoughts on this.
PS...I hope this isn't too confusing, I rambled on a bit, but I don't want to edit :)
