I mean granted, that was his wife and he did love her dearly, but in my opinion Helen didn't take care of herself well. She wore ugly moo moo's and had crazy hair. She really didn't look appealing to Stanley I am sure. I think Helen would've been a better fit for Ralph Furley. :lol: ;)

Much as I enjoyed Norman Fell and Audra Lindley (God rest their souls), I never cared for the Ropers as characters. You wondered why they ever got married to begin with. I liked Ralph Furley a lot better!!

Well, in Stanley's words, he didn't mind putting up shelves. In fact, he probably enjoyed putting up a shelf every once in a while, even if he didn't put up as many as some husbands. But, even at his age, Helen expected him to put up a shelf every night. And probably twice on weekends.
That's a lot of shelves. Especially for a man in his sixties.
