I teach a mock trial class and would like to show some clips or full episodes of L&O to demonstrate good opening/closing statements, direct/cross examination, etc.
Could you people - the masters of Law and Order - recommend specific episodes that have all around awesome courtroom action.
Thank you in advance.

I think the earliest seasons of L&O would be the best. My choices would be:
"Indifference" from Season 1 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Indifference)
"Life Choice" from Season 1 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Life_Choice)
"God Bless the Child" from Season 2 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/God_Bless_the_Child)
"Severance" from Season 2 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Severance)
"Conspiracy" from Season 3 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Conspiracy)
"Wedded Bliss" from Season 3 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Wedded_Bliss)
"Breeder" from Season 4 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Breeder)
"Sanctuary" from Season 4 (summary - http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Sanctuary)
Those are my choices, anyway. Really, you can't go wrong with anything from the earliest seasons, because those seasons were rawer and grittier than the later years. I wish you all the best with your project. Let us know how it turns out!!

Here are the two L&O episodes that I think are really worth watching:
"The Wheel" from Season 13 (http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/The_Wheel)
"Patient Zero" from Season 14 (http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Patient_Zero) (If you want real courtroom action, watch this episode whenever TNT reairs it again)
Good luck on your project!! :)
