Aloha Gilligan fans! I have some great news for all of you regarding The New Adventures of Gilligan finally arriving on DVD!
Look for The Complete Series which was a very popular 1970's Saturday morning cartoon to finally be released on DVD very soon!
I can't say much right now but Warner Archive will be putting out a press release very soon announcing the Complete Series as part of their manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program. The 1974 animated series featuring those seven Castaways still being stranded in cartoon world and trying to get off that island. With five of the original cast members who supplied their own voices and Jane Webb as the voice of Ginger & Maryann!

I remember that one it was one of my faves on Saturday.

Oh, my gosh! This is wonderful! For all its weaknesses, this was a fun and inventive series. I wonder if they'll include the "lost" episodes. There are about five of them that never made it on to the fuzzy bootlegs people were selling at one time, and they were all great episodes.

Huzzah!

I always wondered why Ginger had WHITE hair on that series. What was the deal with that? It's not as if red hair were trademarked or something. Why was her hair white?

One funny thing I remember was the episode where the Skipper was trying to remember his dream about fixing the radio transmitter, and at the end of the show he said that he had gotten the necessary radio parts from a "radio shack" type of hut on the other side of the island. Then the camera pans out and goes to an actual radio store on the other side of the island, unknown to any of the castaways. I think a monkey was acting as the store clerk.
