Paul Reiser Appears on "The Tonight Show" to Promote His Canceled Show (VIDEO)

Last week you were booked to come here to promote your NBC show and on Friday...
On Friday they canceled the show!
NBC, to my knowledge, they don't traditionally make bad decisions.
Oh really?
Yeah, well I don't know what your experience is.
It turns out that they said 'We miss you more than we like having you'.
You know I don't take it personally. I mean it is a business decision and listen this is NBC, this is a big company, and when you are a last place network you don't want to jeopardize that.

Good for Paul Reiser for showing up for this interview even though his show had been cancelled. That is a class act. And the way he pointed out NBC's shortcomings was just priceless!
Instead of blaming the shortcomings of NBC (of which there are many; I'm still sore over the Conan fiasco, and the cancellation of Southland), Mr. Reiser should blame himself. His show was terrible. It was a blatant ripoff of Curb Your Enthusiasm on all levels, all the way down to the music cues.
Sorry. I've got to side with NBC here.

I watched the pilot & didn't think it was very good but sometimes shows do get better. It's nice that Paul Reiser kept his sense of humor about it.

Absolutly right. Plus, why would you copy a show that's been on the air for several years already?
It just shows how much faith NBC had in the show by not putting Reiser on Leno to plug before the show premiered.

What a mess. Maybe he and Helen Hunt should've done an updated version of Mad About You instead!!!

His show was like the worst rated new show on the network so by canceling it they were actually trying to get up from the bottom.
But whatever works for him.
