One of my local stations became a ME-TV affiliate today and as a result I was able to TMTMS for the first time in years. I'd forgotten how well written this show was! And what an amazing cast they had to bring that writing to life on screen! Actually it kind of reminds me of another show MTM was on, The Dick Van Dyke Show. That show had the same pedigree. Great writing brought to life on screen by a great cast. MTM obviously learned her lessons well on that show and put those lessons into action while creating her own self titled show!

I don't even remember the last time I saw an episode. It might have been when it was on N@N. I agree that it was one of the best sitcoms of the 1970's and the cast was just outstanding. There wasn't a weak one among the bunch.

Marv, I'm so happy you re-discovered the show. :) Wish I had access to local reruns, although I've got all the DVD's, LOL. I'd prob. still watch, though.

I used to watch the show regularly during it's original run though I was quite young then. (I turned 6 in 1970 the year the show premiered) It's fun rediscovering the show as an adult. I now appreciate the skill of the show's writers much more. And I enjoy the performances of the cast probably even more than i did back then. I especially enjoy Murry's one-liners!

I watched MTM in reruns when it was on NAN in the early to mid Nineties, though I had already seen it like Marv in its original run.
I'm sure I appreciated it more as someone in his thirties than I did as a 6-13 year old kid. But Marv's right; it is a show that is timeless and never gets old or lessens in quality. Just goes to show that if you get the characters right, the clothes, the cars, the lingo, and the cultural references don't really matter much.

It looks like I could be the only one that posts here that gets MTM reruns on a station here in Canada called Comedy Gold.
Although it's great to see the show, the same episodes have been shown over & over. If it weren't for MTM reruns and now Rhoda, I would have no reason to subscribe to this channel.
I am only seeing MTM for the second time in my life. I am not as familiar with this show since it was mostly early 70's. I'm more familiar with shows from the late 70's.
OH Nuts!
