A new book called "The Encyclopedia of children's television" has just been released here, I saw it yesterday and looked up Diffrent Strokes and it had about a page on it, here were some of the things it said-

The article described Kimberly as "Drummond's goody goody, can't do wrong daughter" and for Dana it said something like she killed herself after her shameful life or something like that.

It said Gary Coleman became a security guard AFTER he went to court and had to pay money to a woman he hit. He did it to earn the money to pay for court.

It also said something about how racist the show was, it picked out the episode "Roots" and said "Willis and Arnold try to proove their blackness then reliase they are wrong and appolagise for it."

And to top it all for transmission details it says the show aired on ABC for its last 2 seasons.

I thought that was a bad thing to write, for some reason the book wanted people to remember the show as being a bad thing.

Geez, that ain't exactly something I would want my children to read about how they potrayed the show. That's kind of sad :(
