Both episodes were low rated. Even ads for the Paul Reiser Show were annoying

Short-Lived Sitcom Potpourri (XXVI) – MSTV Flops From 2010-2011 (https://jacksonupperco.com/2025/06/04/short-lived-sitcom-potpourri-xxvi-mstv-flops-from-2010-2011/)

Thoughts: A broadcast network Curb Your Enthusiasm (https://web.archive.org/web/20140330010016/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/2878196-curb-your-enthusiasm/?view=getnewpost) knockoff for a sitcom vet who also plays a version of himself in a similar single-cam semi-improvised semi-autobiographical framework, The Paul Reiser Show (https://web.archive.org/web/20140407134705/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/3203519-the-paul-reiser-show-this-is-what-i%e2%80%99m-saying/?view=getnewpost) is yet another series that simply treads too much familiar ground, and without enough freshness or excellence generated from the specific elements of its own situation to suggest any individual promise. Part of the issue is Paul Reiser himself — he’s certainly a likable and funny sitcom presence who has the chops to carry a show, but he doesn’t himself have the precise comedic persona of Larry David or an actual characterization that can be suggested from this foundation.
