Hello all,
About a month ago I watched an episode of Unsolved Mysteries over here in the UK. It was one of the Spike TV episodes hosted by Dennis Farina.
There was one segment in this episode which interested me greatly, and I want to read up on it, but being the idiot I am I didn't make note of any of the names involved. I've tried searching on the internet based on what I saw, but it's proved impossible without names. SO I've found this place and hopefully someone can help me!
The segment was based on a couple back in the Wild West days, who were out on the road when they were ambushed and robbed, supposedly by a native tribe. Historians disputed this version, as the tribe in question were believed to be peaceful. They argued it was a set up, and that it was the perfect excuse for the tribe to be massacred, which they later were.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? If it does, and you know the name of the tribe, I'd be really, really grateful for your help. Thanks.
