Hi! That was me. I'm new to the message boards. I was going through the threads and didn't see a Pairings for G/G, and I really wanted to comment, so thank you for giving me the chance!

I'm a MAG shipper through and through, but I  the way Ginger vamps Gilligan. The back scratching scene in They're Off And Running is verrrry suggestive. In season 1 he knocks himself out a lot but over the course of the entire series he learns to take it- and the prolonged smooch in It's A Bird It's a Plane goes on for way longer than it needs to.

So, laying aside my MAGness for a moment. Ginger could well be the one to turn Gilligan from boy to man in the physical sense, one night when they'd had maybe a cup or two of punch and the atmosphere was right. So basically I'm saying, they could go all the way, but not necessarily end up in a relationship. However, I think they would become really good friends and learn to confide in each other more.

I know there's a term for this kind of on/off deal. It begins with 'f' and ends with 'buddies'. That's how I see Ginger and Gilligan.

Yay, Gilligan/Ginger!

And I am a Proffy/Ginger shipper through and through, but Gilligan/Ginger is a pretty close second. I'm honestly surprised that that scene from They're Off and Running got through the censors, because it is indeed very suggestive. There is also the shower scene in Water, Water Everywhere. Ah, Season 1.

Gilligan not only appears to enjoy himself during some "vamping" scenes later on in the series, but at points he even seems to egg Ginger on. He seems to know exactly what she's up to, and uses reverse psychology ("don't ask me what I'm guarding!") to play right along. The necklace heist scene in Mine Hero is a good example.

So, what this means to me is that Gilligan does feel an attraction to Ginger on some level. They also have a very fond, playful friendship that develops in the last two seasons. It would be easy to understand why Ginger might come to have genuine feelings for Gilligan. His sweetness, guilelessness and considerate nature are worlds away from the "wolves" she used to deal with/date in Hollywood. She also thinks he's "kinda cute." ;)

Ehem, well! I don't know if I see it going quite that far, Teebs ;) - or at least not on a regular basis. I think they'd be too afraid of hurting one another emotionally or things getting messy (delicate island dynamics, and all that). Gilligan would probably let her take the lead in that kind of matter, and despite all her vamping Ginger has always struck me as having a pretty firm rein on herself (essential skill for the Hollywood career girl, after all). But do I see an unplanned kiss, maybe more than once? Sure. Maybe even more than a kiss? Possibly, in certain situations like the ones you mentioned.

I love that back scratching scene. All that eyelash fluttering and sighing...and that's just Gilligan. And the way he looks all sheepish and guilty afterwards. "She found the favourite spot. I don't know what my mouth said after that."
The shower scene is a close second. Assuming she's naked in the shower and his head is right under the curtain and her wet toe is fondling his nose. No wonder the censors went nuts. (Sherwood was like  )

He seems to know exactly what she's up to, and uses reverse psychology ("don't ask me what I'm guarding!") to play right along. The necklace heist scene in Mine Hero is a good example.

You're right, he does use reverse psychology! He's almost leading her on with that "Don't ask me what I'm guarding." He also seems quite happy for Ginger to kiss him in V For Vitamins, but he won't give her the orange!
She's all over him in his hammock in Seer Gilligan- that's quite a smooch too, even though he's asleep. And it doesn't take him long to get into the jetpack kiss, although you notice he's still a very passive participant and never touches her. In his dreams he's not afraid to kiss her though, like his double agent dream in The Invasion.

I was actually just watching Gilligan's Personal Magnetism earlier. the adorable scene where Ginger feeds him and has to tell him a story like his mother used to, so he won't eat too fast. She puts the first spoon in his mouth and says "All gone!" It's so precious, and the way he looks at her while he's eating is so funny.
Plus the scene where G/G are fishing in Agonized Labor and he's all like "Yeah! yeah!" and Ginger's squealing with delight. (Thurston thinks they're laughing at him and gets hit in the face with a fish.) Wonderful little moment.

Maybe my imagination did get a little carried away there. :biglove: But it could happen and it would surprise them both, I think. An unplanned kiss would be super, he'd be like :hello :eyes2: But I agree that Ginger would always need to take the lead.
I have fun imagining these two. There is definitely a frisson there, and it's very sweet and adorable, and it could get a little hot 'n' heavy between them, one day, if conditions were right and he didn't run away in a complete panic.

Why do I keep singing Summer (The First Time) by Bobby Goldsboro...

TEEBS, ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!

I don't really have any constructive thoughts to add to this since it's late and I'm tired, but yeah...

TEEBS, ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!

Lol- I did a good job, huh. Ummm...somebody hacked into my account, yeah that's it! Oooh, when I find 'em I'm gonna...:smash:

I feel like I just got caught cheating, haha. You know I'm true to MAG and all the epic tree-licking and pie-eating and pancake admiring and hat holding. Please- don't throw me out, I've got nowhere to go. I'll never look at them again, I...pr...o...m...i...:lookaroun

Ok, so I flirted with G/G. It doesn't mean anything. And anyway, it wasn't Gilligan at all, it was Spy!Gilligan. Yeah, that's it, it was Spy!Gilligan. Definitely. I'd recognise those beady eyes anywhere.

I also think that if taken to the ultimate possibilities, some casual sexual encounters could occur--not in any kind of "regular" arrangement or relationship, though.

What, by the way do you think is going on in "They're Off and Running"?

I think they're alluding to orgasm. Well, you did ask. :)

I think that Ginger has found something Gilligan likes better than carrots.

And I think Bob D was very generous in showing us all what he looked like in the throes of ecstacy.

I watched Water Water Everywhere yesterday. Ginger says hand me the towel, I won't bite you and he says (nervously) "Promise you won't bite me?" and puts his hand through the curtain and she bites him, and says "aren't I a tease?"

And when she draws the heart on his chest and says "Underneath all that mud I'll bet there's a charming, attractive man."

So sweet and innocent and yet somehow so suggestive.

Yes, my thoughts were kind of in that direction also.

Sorry, Gilligan showed no interest in Ginger.
