Windows 7?

the cd/dvd driver should be built into Windows, just uninstall the DVDRW device in device manager and reboot and it should automatically reinstall the correct driver - any drivers that are NOT included in Windows for your computer you can download for free here : http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers - just pick the selections for the correct model.

have you made any changes to the dvd/cd writing software that came with the computer? you may need to reinstall it - look for your OEM cds that came with your computer for that.

to use Device Manager, follow the instructions here: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-install-hardware-or-device-drivers-manually-in-windows-vista/

unless the camera is really new or really old, you should be able to just plug it in, turn it on and Windows should recognize it automatically, then give you the option to copy the pics to your computer.

How to u reinstall the dvd/cdplayer?????
to use Device Manager, follow the instructions here: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows...windows-vista/

right-click on the device with the yellow error sign and click on "uninstall", then shut everything down and reboot

it should reload the driver automatically, if it doesn't you may have installed some conflicting software- have you installed any other cd/dvd-related software?

probably yes, what did you install?

some CD writing software can be pretty finicky; you usually have to carefully remove any of your old CD writing software before installing anything new or it will cause a conflict.

you may even need to reinstall the software that originally came with your computer to get the cd-writer to work again properly (again, AFTER removing the added software)
