Someone had mentioned that both Dennis The Menace and Hazel complemented each other well and it was good they are both coming out at relatively the same time. Well, one reason Dennis & Hazel may seem to go so well with each other is that they were 1. written by the same writers 2. shared the same sets, both houses & town sets. The town set Hazel walks thru once in a while is the same town set with the same store front that they used in Dennis. You can also see the same water fountain and park area is shared by both shows. In fact, in one episode of Hazel you can see in the background the "Quigley's Market" name on the grocery store front glass. Also the house next door to Hazel, where in the b/w shows the man with all the kids lives is the same house as the Stephens house on Bewitched. Also the Johnson's house is the same as Mr. Wilson's house. Peggy Chantler wrote for just about all of the Columbia shows including Flying Nun. Also, the Gidget house is the same as the Hazel house, the interior has been slightly updated, the living room esp., but the kitchen is exactly the same as the Hazel kitchen. The outside of Gidget's house is exactly the same as Hazel's. The Hazel house and the Bewitched Stephens' house are right next door to each other.

Half the fun of watching all those old Screen Gems shows is noticing all the houses on the old Columbia Ranch. They sure got used and reused over the years.
