TV Guide Network's Hollywood 411 sits down with actress Meredith Baxter just before her reunion with the cast of Family Ties for the TV Land Awards.

Baxter discusses her new best-selling memoir, Untied, and opens up about her claims of abuse during her marriage. She reveals how the Family Ties set became a peaceful place for her to be. "Family Ties saved my life," she tells Marc Istook. "That was a place I could go where people liked me. That was not my situation at home. I was married to someone who did not like me."

Plus: Hollywood 411 goes one-on-one with Kathy Griffin and gets a sneak peek at Kendra Wilkinson's fox trot for the next episode of Dancing with the Stars.

She also mentioned in her book that Michael Gross became her best friend during that time and was able to confide in him. They are still close friends today.

That's really nice. I'm glad that the set was a nice place for her to be and feel safe. Also that her and Michael Gross became best friends and are still today. :D They are such a great cast.

I love the relationship between Steven and Elyse. Their love scenes look so real and natural together. Michael Gross and Meredith Baxter Birney were one of the top TV married couples of all times. They were the 80s version of Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore.
