I just came across a new article on Stephan Ross, the Holocaust survivor who was interviewed in a 1989 UM segment that focused on his search for the US soldier who gave him an American flag. Ross spoke about his ordeal to an audience at Bristol Community College in Massachusetts.

His search for the US soldier has been unsuccessful, but I recommend checking out this article.

Thank you for the article. I'm sad to hear he never found the soldier, but am happy that Ross is still alive. It's very touching that he is still trying to reach out and help people. This was definitely one of the most profound UM lost loves, in my opinion.

Wow. I had no idea he founded the monument in Boston. It's very very powerful.

I almost cried like a big baby when I watched this segment. On a side note, I am almost 100% certain that I talked to a poster on here who said that he had talked to Stephan, who told him he found the soldier.

I watched this segment again a few days ago. Honestly, I think the solider passed away before UM and that's why the case was never solved. It seems like if he was right about which squad the solider was in, he could track down records and pictures of some of the men. The magic of the internet. I'm certain he's long dead now, but at least he could possibly learn his name or meet his family.
